Sivan Levanah Circle
Monday, May 13, 2013 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (PDT)
Join us as we welcome the new moon of Sivan and approach Shavuot, the Jewish pilgrimage festival, which honors receiving the Torah on Mount Sinai. We will prepare for Shavuot's celebration of the season's first fruits by grinding wheat and making our own bread over a fire, and partake in other workshops to prepare for the coming holiday. Get excited: Shavuot's festivities often involve dairy so you should come ready to meet Urban Adamah's newest family members... a mama and a baby goat!
What to bring: A vegetarian dish to share, a bowl, spoon and mug for dinner and tea. Bring an extra layer to stay warm as it gets cool when the sun leaves the sky. If you’d like, bring your own camp chair too.
As with all events that take place at the farm, please bring a canned food item for our food bank.
