The Tuesday and Thursday sessions will be presented by Peter Nathanson; Wednesday’s session will be presented by Jay Corazza.

Tuesday’s topics will provide a basic framework of drinking water distribution systems and the typical quality of water within those systems.  Jay will build on that framework with a detailed discussion about different pipe type and materials of construction, how pipe manufacturers spec their pipe and obtain AWWA approval, and conclude with a hands-on demonstration of fusible HDPE pipe.

Thursday we will delve into distribution system water quality considerations starting with disinfection and discuss how disinfection relates to DBP formation and control.
