Silicon Valley Startup Leadership: Compelling Pitch Workshop

 Startup Leadership Workshop

Delivering a pitch is one of the most important conversations any entrepreneur ever has. Don’t let a fumbled pitch get in the way of success.

If you are serious about getting funding, you should be prepared to go the distance.  This workshop will help you remove your barriers to success and tap into the “great communicator” within you, making your pitch the best it can be.

What defines a good pitch? It is the ability to articulate a brief and clear description of your idea or business and the market opportunity surrounding it in a way that generates interest on the part of the listener to favorably consider what you want. A well delivered pitch is easy to understand, inspiring and convincing.

Calling all entrepreneurs who are ready to pitch to VCs, angel investors, co-founders, team members and other key partners!  The strongest team with the best idea might never get off the ground if the pitch is weak, lackluster or simply incomplete.  In this comprehensive, interactive workshop, you will do:

  • Hands-on, step-by-step pitch development
  • Pitch deconstruction and refinement, and reconstruction
  • Yes, you will get up and pitch to the class and the instructor – possibly more than once.

Pitches will be critiqued, refined and polished during the workshop, so you will leave with:

  • A well-developed pitch structure and plan
  • Real-time, detailed feedback on:
    • How well you articulate, sell and defend your idea
    • Your personal pitching style
  • Clear direction on what you need to do to pitch like a pro

Instructor Hilary Weber, MBA, CPC, is the founder of Opportu Professional Coaching, www.opportu.com.  She specializes in helping early growth companies and large corporations set themselves up for success, connect their passion to their work, and maintain their innovative edge as they grow.  She is an adjunct coach with the Haas School of Business.

This proprietary pitch development process is based on current best practices and consolidated wisdom from successful entrepreneurs and Silicon Valley VCs.  Workshop requires approximately 1-2 hours of pre-work, so please plan on coming to the workshop prepared and ready to participate fully.  Space is limited – teams often send more than one member to workshops, so please register early.

The Startup Leadership Workshop is co-sponsored by Startup Saturdays and Opportu Professional Coaching, both based in San Francisco.
