Tech professionals by day, garage rockers by night. They’ll pick up their instruments and venture onto the big stage to let their rocking alter egos shine…For a good cause and the love of music.

Silicon Valley Rocks! will bring together the Valley’s tech community - from VCs and entrepreneurs to bloggers and software developers - to raise money for Music in Schools Today (MUST), a Bay Area non-profit that seeks to rescue music programs from budget cuts.

404Beats brings the “unfound” tech DJ to the turntables of Public Works for one night only! 404Beats is a production by Alison Murdock, founder of Silicon Valley Rocks!, and Janine Shiota, organizer of TEDxPresidio and top Bay Area promoter.  For more information, contact us.

404Beats is proud to help support local arts organizations that support the next-generation of DJs. A portion of proceeds from the evening will be donated to

BAVC (Bay Area Video Coalition) inspires social change by empowering media makers to develop and share diverse stories through art, education and technology. BAVC provides comprehensive creative media education for low-income Bay area youth ages 14-24. The intensive after-school programs include training in digital audio, video and open source programming. BUMP (Bay Unity Music Project) is a free program that gives young musical artists the opportunity to develop real-world skills at a recording studio and media production facility.
