Overview

This is the second program in the Ethics Center's 2012 Silent Spring Series. 2012 is the 50th anniversary of publication of Rachel Carson's Silent Spring, a seminal book that helped to increase awareness and launch the environmental movement.

The focus of this program is how Rachel Carson's legacy can provide widsom, insight, and awareness to meet modern environmental challenges.

To carry out its mission, the Center promotes more informed policy development and ethical decision-making on the part of individuals and institutions through education, outreach, and scholarly forums.
