Event Details

Music, Science, Poetry, and Sound meet in a multimedia concert featuring music inspired by the natural world around us.

The Eugene Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, in partnership with the Science and Learning Center at Crater Lake National Park and the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, will present a multimedia concert featuring music inspired by the natural soundscapes around us. The program will feature guest soprano Estelí Gomez performing new songs by Oregon composers Robert Chastain, David Eisenband, Nicole Portley, Diana Rosenblum, and Jacob Walls alongside the world premiere of composer Andrew Stiefel's Echoes of a Sonic Habitat III, commissioned by Crater Lake National Park. Other musical selections include Pacific Northwest composers John Luther Adams and Emily Dolittle, and the music of French composer Tristan Murail.

Beer and Tea will be available for purchase during the show.
