In February, Sheltering Arms will celebrate 125 years of caring for patients and their families. Sheltering Arms began in 1889 as an acute care hospital for the working poor who could not afford healthcare and we have evolved tremendously over the years to meet the community’s changing needs. Since becoming the first private, free standing physical rehabilitation hospital in Virginia in 1981, we have expanded to two hospitals and ten outpatient clinics. Throughout our history, we have remained true to our mission of delivering the highest quality care to all of our patients, regardless of their ability to pay.
To Our Sponsors
We value our relationship with you and hope we can count on your support as a sponsor of a very special event in recognition of our 125th anniversary. The Sheltering Arms Anniversary Gala will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at The Jefferson in Richmond.
This milestone event will bring people together to celebrate the thousands of individuals who have found the power to overcome at Sheltering Arms, the dedicated providers of their care over the years, as well as the many prominent individuals, families and businesses who have supported Sheltering Arms throughout our history.
As a fundraiser for Sheltering Arms, all proceeds from event sponsorship will help to ensure that we can continue to help patients overcome setbacks from injury and illness. Sponsor names and levels will be recognized in our printed program. The sponsorship options are detailed on the enclosed pledge card. Please note that there are limited opportunities, so it is important to secure your commitment early.
Your generous gift will allow us to continue to provide the highest caliber of rehabilitative care to patients in need for years to come.
