Admit it, you're secretly curious about sharks. They scare you, yet
they draw you in. They're thirty feet long, or so small they fit in
your hand. They have names like lemon, nurse, tiger, and bull. Next
week, SF is lucky to host one of the world's experts on shark
conservation, Sonja Fordham, who will be in town from Brussels. After
20 years in the fisheries world she's just started her own group
dedicated to helping sharks of all shapes and sizes. We're hosting
a little salon to help her on her way. Join us to hear Sonja's tales
from the docksides and treaty tables, where the fate of sharks is set.
Interested? We ask that you donate $25 to join the salon, though we won't turn anyone away for lack of funds.
More information about Sonja's work is at www.sharkadvocates.org.
A tasty no host bar will serve local wines (on tap!) and delicious bites, at one of Rachel's favorites Radius SF.
