Event Details

Join the Jewish Meditation Center for a very special Shabbat evening with song and storymaster, Eliezer Sobel! A Friday night of meditation, sacred singing, stories and teachings that touch the heart and soul. A seriously joyous and delightful way to bring in Shabbat. Also, there will be dinner! (And candles and wine and challah!)

$35/person. Includes a delicious vegetarian dinner (not hekshered)

No one will be turned away because of lack of funds. Contact us for financial aid options! 

This event will be hosted in a Brooklyn living room and once you register,         we'll send you the address.

This evening is also part of our fundraising campaign, so if you feel moved to donate more, there will be an opportunity to do so.

Eliezer Sobel

Eliezer Sobel is the author of The 99th Monkey: A Spiritual Journalist's Misadventures with Gurus, Messiahs, Sex, Psychedelics and Other Consciousness-Raising Experiments; Minyan: Ten Jewish Men in a World That is Heartbroken, winner of The Peter Taylor Prize for the Novel; and Wild Heart Dancing. He is also a musician, meditation retreat leader and teacher of the 5 RhythmsTM movement practice, and has led creativity workshops at Esalen Institute and similar venues around the U.S.
