Based on the autobiographical writings of California-based journalist and poet Mark O'Brien, this movie tells the story of a man confined to an iron lung who is determined--at age 38--to lose his virginity. With the help of his therapists and the guidance of his priest, he sets out to make his dream a reality. Film screening to be followed by a Q&A with writer-director Ben Lewin

This screening is free of charge and open to the public, with priority given to members of the LMU community.  Please bring a valid ID or print out of your reservation confirmation, which will automatically be sent to your e-mail account upon successfully making an RSVP through this website.  Doors will open at 7PM. 

  

All SFTV screenings are OVERBOOKED to ensure seating capacity in the theater, therefore seating is not guaranteed based on RSVPs.  The RSVP list will be checked in on a first-come, first-served basis until the theater is full. Priority admission will be given to LMU SFTV students until 7:15 PM.  Once the theater has reached capacity, we will no longer be able to admit guests, regardless of RSVP status.
