SF's Housing Crisis: Can the Boom Help Us?
Join us for a timely debate that explores the relationship between the City’s past housing production, the booming tech scene and exploding housing prices. As San Francisco continues to attract the planet’s brightest innovators and sharpest minds, our cities limited housing supply is pricing out increasing segments of our residents. How should we respond to our enviable “problem” of economic growth? How do we create well-designed, well-located housing, at all levels of affordability, to meet the needs of San Franciscans, present and future?

When & Where
San Francisco Housing Action Coalition (SFHAC)
The San Francisco Housing Action Coalition (SFHAC) advocates for the creating of well-designed, well-located housing at all levels of affordability to meet the needs of San Franciscans present and future.
The SF Housing Action Coalition has become a reliable voice supporting smart growth, transit-oriented development and, especially, more solutions for housing affordability, in a city known for its rough-and-tumble political climate. Through our committees, the SFHAC endorses projects that meet these goals as well as helps to develop and implement policies that will allow for the right kind of housing to be build in the future. We have found that by balancing competing factions and searching for middle ground, we can make significant impacts on land use decisions.
