Event Details

Through an experimental combination of video, performance, sculpture, sound, photography, drawing, public art, and installation, Felipe Dulzaides explores a wide range of themes, including chance, absurdity, humor, and displaced perspectives. His interdisciplinary art practice oscillates in a literal and metaphoric space between the United States and Cuba, and he divides his time between both places.

Dulzaides’s work has been included in the Gwangju Biennale and the Havana Biennial, as well as in the exhibitions The Cage Effect, Hunter College, New York; and Unsaid/Spoken, CIFO, Miami. Recent solo exhibition venues include the Graham Foundation, Chicago; The Freedom Tower, Miami; and Sala Diaz, Texas. He has been awarded artist residencies at the Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito, California, and Fabrikken, Copenhagen. In 2010, Dulzaides received the prestigious Rome Prize.
