The first annual Victorian Home Trade Show at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco promises to bring together over 1,000 home owners, antiques enthusiasts and affiliated artisans, artists, tradesmen, craftspeople and contractors to network as well as educate about and speculate on the future of San Francisco’s famous historic properties. The event will be the premier forum for learning about and discussing all things Victorian. It will undoubtedly be an historic homeowner’s dream!
In addition to the keynote address to be given by architect James Dixon, insightful seminars with industry experts, trade demonstrations from artisan and craftsman participants and delicious food and beverage accommodations, we plan to place a special emphasis throughout the event on the environmental sustainability of Victorian Homes. We believe that as we transition into a sustainable energy economy, established housing stock has a pivotal role to play and that Victorian homes can be just as ecologically modern as those being built today. We are proud to have secured developer Josh Mogal, the first recipient of a Platinum L.E.E.D. Certification on a Victorian home, to speak at the event about the ins and outs of working in the city of San Francisco and the importance of energy conservation renovations for old buildings.
