Experiencing Mr. V’s DJ sets, original productions, or remixes is like taking a trip back in time to dance music’s golden age. Before superstar DJs took over the spotlight, dance music was a cultural phenomenon that did what no other form of music could do – bring people together. It didn’t matter what race or sexual orientation you came from because dance music was all about embracing our differences and creating a homogeneous vibe. The music was built heavily on traditional song structures and lots of heart and soul. DJs played whatever it took to get the party going and the music was never predictable. It is with this classic spirit and enthusiasm that New York City’s Mr. V targets today’s dance music world. Mr. V is a throwback in the purest sense.

  Fred Everything

Fred Everything is a key player in the world of House Music and with 12 years in the music business and over 100 productions to his credit, he shows no signs of stopping. Born in Hull and raised in Quebec City, Fred got the early bug for electronic music in High School. He formed a few bands while spending his weekends as one of the youngest in local nightclubs. In the early 90s, he started playing live in raves and clubs in Canada. He was then known as “Everything,” because his live sets could range anywhere from techno to house, ambient and even drum and bass. He even got to open up for a then up and coming, Sasha. Tired of carrying his equipment around, mainly a TR909 and a SH101, he started DJ’ng and changed his name to Fred Everything. A move to the big city of Montreal was the next obvious thing, and it wasn’t too long after that Fred found himself releasing records on some of his favorite labels and catching the attention of DJ’s and producers worldwide.
  DJ Colette

DJ Colette is one of the first DJs to add her vocals to the record she spins, inspiring a new category of performance in the electronic world. As countless others begin to sing and spin, many can still not compare to the vocal/turntable sessions Colette delivers. How many singing DJs combine up-close observation of the legendary Derrick Carter and Mark Farina dating back to Chicago in the late Eighties with formal operatic training from the ages of nine to eighteen? Probably not many. In fact, there may not be any DJ today who can match the impressive pedigree of former music teacher turned mix-master DJ Colette.

The SF NYE BALL 2011 is a fun & upscale event for the 21+ at San Francisco City Hall. Please read these FAQ's to answer some of the questions you may have.

What does my GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET include?
Your GA ticket includes ALL of the following:
* Admission & Access to the Main Rotunda, North Light Court, and South Light Court.
* Open Bar downstairs in North Light Court from 8 pm – 9 pm.

What does a PREMIUM OPEN BAR TICKET include?
* Everything that a General Admission ticket offers, plus
* Access to Premium Open Bar area [Downstairs adjacent to Main Rotunda] with private bartenders, and Complimentary Top Shelf beverages [Grey Goose, Patron, Hennessey];

What does BOTTLE SERVICE include?
* Everything that a General Admission ticket offers, plus
* Access to 2nd floor Bottle Service Area with private bartenders.

What are the event hours?
Event begins at 8 pm, and ends a little before 2am.

I ordered my tickets online [eventbrite, sfhousemusic, or clubzone], how & where do I pick up my tix?
All tickets will be claimed at our Will-Call station for pickup on the evening of the event at the Polk street entrance:

Advance Will Call Pickup will begin on 12.31.10 at 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm.

Regular Will Call will begin on 12.31.10 at 7:30 pm – 12:30 am.

It is highly recommended that you come early to ensure entry before Midnight.

What do I need to pickup my tickets at will call?
Please bring a valid government issue ID and order # (you may also bring a print-out of the confirmation email that was sent to the email address you provided).

I already have my presale ticket, should I wait in the will call line?
If you already have your presale tickets, you will not need to wait in the Will-Call line. Please enter through our "General Admission" line on Polk Street with your presale ticket. Both General Admission & Premium Open Bar Ticket holders access the venue via the same “General Admission” line.

Does it matter which host/org I purchase my tickets from?
There is no difference which host/organization you purchase through. Please select the host/org who invited you. Each ticket will be valid for 1 admission to this grand event!

Will tickets be available at the door?
A limited number of tickets will be held at the door for sale beginning at 1:30 pm on the day of the event. These prices will be higher than the last presale admission price listed online.

What is a Premium Open Ticket hold entitled to? Which beverages are included?
All beverages are included with your admission ticket. Grey Goose Vodka & other spirits will be served.
Please drink responsibly & have a designated driver if you are driving to/from the event that evening.
You are limited to 2 drinks per order for each visit to the bar. Absolutely no intoxicated persons will be served any liquor. Please understand that although this is a hosted bar, lines will be longer during peak hours.

Will there be any food served at the event?
Food is not included with the price of your admission ticket. Please have your New Year's Dinner prior to coming to the event. Limited quantities of passed Hors d'oeuvres will be available at the event on a first come first serve basis.

Will there be a Coat Check available?
Yes, coat check will be available for a small fee, on the right hand side immediately upon entry into San Francisco City Hall from the Polk street entrance.

What kind of music will be played?
There will be 3 rooms of music on the main/2nd levels playing a mix of house, hiphop, mashup, top-40, alternative, international, and live performers.

Will there be general seating at the event?
General seating, if available, will be EXTREMELY limited. If you'd like a reserved table, please view our Bottle service options.

Where do I enter the party from?
The entrance to the party will be from the Polk Street entrance. This will be the only entrance into the party.

Where do I park?
There are several parking garages in the area. We’d recommend parking in the Civic Center Plaza Parking Garage one block up and over. It should be approximately $10 parking all night.

What is the dress code?
Semi-formal attire required: Dresses, Suits, Blazers, Slacks, Dress Shirts, [nice] Jeans, etc. No refunds for those not in dress code.

Will there be smoking allowed?
There will be an outdoors smoking section provided for our guests. No smoking will be permitted inside the facility - those who break this law will be escorted off premises immediately. No refunds permitted.
