Have you ever wanted to have a Certified Master Chef prepare a multi-course meal for you – from the appetizers to the dessert?
Of course you have.
JoAnne&Jimmy affords diners the opportunity to do just that. A proprietary take on the rising popularity of the recent “underground chef” series, SF Food Crush features the culinary expertise of co-owner and CMC James Corwell and business partner JoAnne Kao.
Here’s how it works: JoAnne&Jimmy secures a space for an evening, whether it’s a private home, a rental hall or a restaurant for the dinner. Invitations for this “movable feast” are sent through various social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter and guests pre-pay for the event.
Once there, Chef Corwell designs the menu and prepares the meals for each course. The evening results in a unique experience where attendees are treated to a new form of dining intimacy replete with opportunities to meet new people, network and enjoy top-rated cuisine.
This next SF Food Crush event is scheduled for February 16th, for which Chef Corwell has assembled fare that includes:
- Hamachi Tartare with cucumber, trout roe, mint
- Caramelized Yogurt Salad with Almond, Young Citrus and Beet
- Steamed Lobster Dumpling with Carrot Ginger Sauce
- Poached Sable Fish, Seaweed, Yuzu broth and Sunflower Seed Relish
- Roasted Tenderloin of Beef with Olive, Swiss Chard, Celery and Oxtail
- Lemon Parfait and White Chocolate Mousse and Meringue
The mix and mingle hour runs from about 7-8pm, and a variety of red and white wines will be served at the bar. (Alcohol is not included in the ticket price.)
Please note that tickets are NOT sold at the door, and must be purchased online through Eventbrite. Attendees must be 21 years old or older. Please bring your valid photo ID and Eventbrite receipt.
