A little bit about Anderson Valley Brewing:
Tucked away in a small corner of Mendocino County is a small town called Boonville where in 1987 Ken Allen and a few brave souls started brewing some incredible beer. From humble beginnings in the basement of the Buckhorn Saloon, Anderson Valley Brewing Company is now one of the most respected breweries in the world brewing in a 100-barrel brew-house on a 30-acre property. Nearly half of our power is derived from solar panels on the roof of our brewery, all of our spent grain goes to local farmers to feed their livestock and our used water, all of which comes from wells at the brewery, is aerated via wind power and used to irrigate the land. Summer Solstice seasonal ale is our tribute to the glorious sunny days and the slow-pace of the valley in the summer time, with vanilla notes reminiscent of a cold cream soda on a hot summer day. On the longest day of the year, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a late-evening sunset. Bahl hornin!
