BRAZILIAN AFTER-PARTY AT MIGHTY
following the San Francisco Carnaval Parade & Events
7 hours of Brazilian energy, music and dance after the San Francisco Carnaval events on Sunday May 27, at Mighty, described by Urb Magazine as the "best new club in America." Headlining the evening are renown samba heavies, Brothers Calatayud (Marquinho and Alex), direct from Brazil, and their band Little Brasil. This is the Brothers' first show in the U.S. since last year and they will play two sets of their signature brand of samba and pagode music. Also on the bill are San Francisco institution and local Carnaval grand champion performance group Fogo na Roupa, complete with batucada percussion and samba dancers, Boca do Rio, dancers from Samba da Terra of Sacramento, samba funk outfit Mondo Loko and Coelho & Ridnell. Filling in the spaces between the live sets will be the best of the top local Brazilian DJs: Carioca, Zamba, Alfie1Bateria and Fausto Sousa, along with special guest Funkmatic visiting from Chicago.
