Advance registration for the trade is now closed.  With proper trade credentials, you may purchase a trade ticket at the door ($40). 

 

Sunday, September 9: Trade only, 1:00 - 3:00pm; trade and public, 3:00 - 6:00pm
Monday, September 10: Trade only, 2:00 - 6:00pm

The annual Family Winemakers tasting -- this is our 22nd! -- presents to members of the wine trade the full range of California's family-owned wineries -- the well-known and soon-to-be known, pouring dozens of varietals in every conceivable price range.  They are at our tasting to do business with you.  Please use the Family Winemakers web site to find information you can use to help maximize the value of your time at our tasting.  TASTE & TAKE!  Once again, wineries will be able to sell wine for you to take with you.  Participating wineries will be identified on site.

Upon submission of this form, you will be emailed a confirmation of the receipt of your registration.  This email does NOT confirm your eligibility to attend.  If your trade credentials are approved, we will either mail your bar coded name tags or hold them at Will Call (see Deadlines below).  We will contact you if we have questions about your trade qualifications.  Do not register the same person multiple times, duplicates will be deleted.  If you are not sure who will be attending, wait until you are sure and submit a separate registration.  If you exceed our quota of 3 staff members per business location without payment, Family Winemakers will cancel extra staff and reserves the right to do so at random.  You may substitute one person for another by bringing the unused name tag, along with valid trade i.d. for the replacement person, to Trade Registration.  Trade tickets may be purchased at the door ($40).

 

Criteria for admission as trade: You must be professionally involved in the purchase and/or sale of wine; media must regularly disseminate articles on wine and identify your media outlet on the form.  Wine industry suppliers will not be approved for admission as trade unless they are FWC Associate Members, click here to apply.

Thursday, August 16
, to receive name tags by mail (will be mailed by August 22)

Friday, August 31, to have name tags at Will Call (under your business name)

To make changes in your registration
Go to https://www.eventbrite.com/gettickets, click on LogIn, enter the email address that was used to create the registration and your password (or get a new one by putting your email address where it says "Don't know your password?").  Once logged in, click on "My Tickets" at the top of the page, then on "Manage Order".  Make your updates, click on Save.  For help, call Eventbrite Support, 800-350-8850.

If your registration is submitted on or before August 16, changes can be made only by that date. No  changes can be processed after August 16, as your name tags will have been mailed.  Bring the incorrect tag to Trade Registration on site.

If your registration is submitted from August 17 to August 31 (Will Call): follow the "make changes" instructions above.

Changes after August 31 must be made on site at Trade Registratoin.

No registrations accepted after August 31.  Trade tickets on sale at the door, $40.

Photo ID and proof of trade status will be required at the door.  No one under 21, including infants, will be admitted.  No animals, other than service animals, admitted.

Our first tasting was held on November 12, 1991, in the Sheraton Palace Hotel in San Francisco.  Family Winemakers had 71 member wineries back then, and 47 of them poured that night for about 350 members of the wine trade.  We've grown.  We have over 450 members today and many of them pour at one or all of our tastings: Bay Area and Pasadena.  We've grown, and so have our tastings, but some things haven't changed.  The wineries are just as dedicated as they were in 1991 to producing the finest wines they can, the winemakers are just as passionate about the right soil, the right grape, the right microclimate.  And Family Winemakers is just as committed to presenting our member wineries and their wines at tastings that showcase the breadth and depth of winemaking in our state.   Family Winemakers ... Taste California!
