Dr. Rosaria Butterfield will be lecturing on "Sexuality, Identity, and the Doctrine of Repentance: MY Train Wreck Conversion"
Rosaria Champagne Butterfield earned her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in English Literature in 1992 and served in the English Department and Women Studies Program at Syracuse University from 1992-2002, publishing a book and scholarly articles in feminist theory, Queer theory, and 19th Century British literature. She received tenure in 1999, providentially the same year that Christ claimed her for His own. Author of The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor's Journey into Christian Faith (2012, Crown and Covenant Publications), Rosaria lives in Durham, North Carolina, with her husband, Kent (Pastor of the First Reformed Presbyterian Church of Durham). Together, they homeschool in the Classical Christian tradition the two youngest of their four children. Rosaria seeks to honor God in providing inspirational, encouraging, and hope-inspiring speaking, writing, and teaching.
