Both professionals and parents are often hesitant to address sexuality with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. However, this topic is an important one to address in a manner that is developmentally appropriate in order to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals on the spectrum. This presentation will cover the importance of addressing this issue, as well as strategies for beginning to address this topic.

Presenter:  Laura Solomon, PsyD

Dr. Laura Solomon is a postdoctoral fellow in the Pediatric Developmental Disorders clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She is particularly interested in working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and co-occurring internalizing disorders.
