Sewing into Dreams - With Stitches of Hope™ invites you to be a part of one of Memphis’ greatest charity events, the 3rd Annual Sewing into Dreams™ Fashion Gala to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. This exciting event will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Clark Opera Memphis Center.
Sewing into Dreams™ began in 2011 with two humble goals: 1) Celebrate the life and validate the fashion designing dream of eight-year-old Lauren Alexandra Lewis; and 2) Raise needed funds to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® – the hospital that saved Lauren’s life and made today’s pursuit of her dreams possible. This year Sewing into Dreams™ will also focus on spotlighting the gifts and talents of other youth while teaching them to use their talents for the greater good of society. Lastly, Sewing into Dreams is an event that will provide an opportunity for the Memphis area to unite and support the efforts of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® while spotlighting the arts in the area of opera, ballet and fashion.
Be prepared to be dazzled by the fashions of Lauren Lewis and other special future fashion designers as they display their love of fashion in a three piece collection. Each collection will be sewn by local seamstresses called the Dream Makers. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with fellow Memphians while bidding on many one-of-a-kind auction items during the silent and live auctions. The evening will include dinner, and live entertainment.
