The mission of the Institute for the Ages is to connect innovators with older adults to transform aging and improve lives. Sarasota County is the oldest large county in the US with one-third of its population, or 130,000 residents, over the age of 65. Local leaders and community pioneers envision the Institute as the foremost authority on capturing insights from older adults on the experience of aging for the advancement of innovation in products and services for people as they age. Through a community-engagement approach, we prioritize trust, relationships, and guardianship of the wisdom and experience of seniors. We aim to grow Sarasota as the global hub for Catalyzing Innovation, Engaging Communities, and Evangelizing Positive Aging. The Institute for the Ages is a 501c3 located in Sarasota, Florida.
