The Illinois Policy Institute is proud to host Larry Reed, president of the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), whose mission is to inspire, educate and connect future leaders with the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society. Mr. Reed, a widely recognized champion for liberty, will discuss his "Seven Principles of Sound Public Policy," which have been discussed worldwide.
Mr. Reed was a co-founder of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Midland, Mich., and served as Mackinac's president for 20 years. He also taught economics full time and chaired the Department of Economics at Northwood University in Michigan from 1977 to 1984. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Grove City College and a master's degree in history from Slippery Rock State University.
