Event Details

Sessions: The Musical! Take a trip to the nut house and meet the loveably unhinged characters of original comedic songs by Emily Laverdiere. Directed by Britt Mitchell. Choreographed by Amy Maestrangelo. Part improv, part music, all crazy.

Fridays @ 11PM, August 2-30

The characters are all living together in an asylum, as they all share the common bond of being insane in various ways. Through improvised scenes, these characters will explore their relationships to one another, and will reveal their true colors to the audience with the original song in which each respective character was conceived. These songs will essentially step out of the world of the asylum as their own entity; a live music video if you will. Each cast member will play one character, and Emily (Em Lav) will play anywhere from 1 to 3 different characters in any given show, based on being in the asylum for "multiple personalities." Mid-way through the show, an audience "get" will allow us to see these characters interacting outside the looney bin on a "group home field trip" of sorts. Feelings will be shared, antics will be had, and self-discovery will occur. And music. Starring Burch Simon, Holly Tarnower, Nate Lopez, Mel Hardy, Josh Michel, Sarah Bell, Lauren Robinson and Emily Holland.
