Curious about the Team Up Challenge? Want to learn more about service learning?
Join Silver & Black Give Back on Monday, August 4th as we host Joan Liptrot in an interactive service learning workshop. You'll learn from her and hear from student members of our Junior Review Committee about how service learning has changed the way they view our community and their education.
The Team Up Challenge is a service learning program open to 24 different school districts in and around Bexar County. It helps students take what they are learning in the classroom and apply it to the real world, bringing education alive in powerful ways.
Silver & Black Give Backs awards over $150,000 to local classes, clubs and teams through the Team Up Challenge every year. To learn more visit www.teamupchallenge.com.
And yes, you will have an opportunity to take photos with the trophy before or after the workshop!

Silver & Black Give Back
Silver & Black Give Back (SBGB) is a (501(c)(3) public charity investing within San Antonio in partnership with the entire Spurs Sports and Entertainment network of teams: the Spurs (NBA), Silver Stars (WNBA), Rampage (AHL) and Austin Toros (NBA Developmental League). SBGB was originally organized in 1988, when there was a single team within the Spurs Sports and Entertainment franchise and was branded the Spurs Foundation.
Through our unique resources and opportunities, we work to creatively engage young people to enrich their communities.
The Silver & Black Give Back is dedicated to youth in San Antonio and South Texas through two premier initiatives: Team Up Challenge and youth sports programs, such as the Spurs Youth Basketball League. For 25 years, together players, coaches and staff have been focused on fostering young talent and enriching the community by encouraging local youth to become responsible adults and give back.
