Various forms of collaborative project delivery have been utilized by major owners in the Bay Area for a number of years. Come hear from panelists representing Google, San Francisco Department of Public Works, El Camino Hospital, and Sutter Health on how they are implementing their versions of Collaborative Delivery on their projects, why they are doing it, and what benefits they are experiencing.
Dean Reed is a 40 year industry veteran and recognized leader in Lean Construction and Collaborative Delivery methods. He is a published author in Design-Build Dateline and acts as DPR’s Lean Construction advocate.
Jeff Curry is an architect by training and is now acting as Project Executive at Google. Since joining Google in 2006, Jeff has successfully led the design and delivery of over 150 Google projects in 6 countries, serving nearly 40,000 Googlers every day.
Edgar Lopez is Deputy Director for Buildings and City Architect for San Francisco and the Department of Public Works. Edgar oversees nearly 175 employees in the Department’s architecture, landscape and construction management divisions, as well as project controls and services.
Ken King is currently responsible for Real Estate and Development at El Camino Hospital, where he has worked for the past 26 years. Major projects include the replacement Hospital Building, a new MOB, a new clinic and administrative building, and central plant expansion & upgrades.
Panos Lampsas is Sutter’s Regional Program Manager for their $2B Cathedral Hill Hospital project in San Francisco. Panos has 30 years of construction experience including Sutter’s recently completed Castro Valley Hospital.
