SeNSE High-Stakes Pitch Night is the biggest Pitch Night of the year for SeNSE. Pitch Night is similar to ABC’s Shark Tank. Last year over $400,000 was pledged to companies. Come enjoy the entertainment of Pitch Night, mix & mingle with South Louisiana’s premier entrepreneurs.
SeNSE, a non-profit entrepreneur organization in Baton Rouge, is hosting its 2nd Annual High-Stakes Pitch Night during BREW, Baton Rouge Entrepreneur Week. The 2013 High-Stakes Pitch Night will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center located in downtown Baton Rouge. In 2012, an unprecedented High-Stakes Pitch Night was held with five South Louisiana companies pitching their ideas to local investors “Shark Tank Style”. Over $400,000 was pledged to these local startup companies that night.
Confirmed Sharks for 2013 High-Stakes Pitch Night are as follows: Bill Borne – Amedisys Home Health & Hospice Care (Baton Rouge); Eiad Asbahi – Prescience Investment Group, LLC (Baton Rouge); Neil Mason – Inventure Works (Lafayette); Mark Graffagnini –Graffagnini & Associates (New Orleans); and, Ken Jacob – Cajun Industries (Baton Rouge).
Beginning at 6:00 p.m. heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served and there will be a cash bar. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at https://sensehighstakespitchnight.eventbrite.com/ or at the door.
There are three new exciting aspects to this year's High-Stakes Pitch Night.
- Speed Pitch Round for companies NOT selected for pitch night. Give a rapid fire pitch to an investor on stage prior to the official beginning of the event.
- RED or GREEN - pass or fail - buttons from Sharks. Kind of a cross between America's Got Talent & The Voice. You've got to be there to see what it's all about.
- Crowd Funding. Each attendee will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite company. The company with the most votes at the end of the night is the Crowd Funding winner. The MORE people that attend, the MORE money will be given to a local start-up. PLUS, you can buy additional votes!
