This is our 7th Annual Senior Gala which has been designed to "Celebrate Life". This Evening of Elegance in Dining, Music and Entertainment is especially for the Seniors in our lives. It is hosted by the Seniors Ministry of the Fifth African Baptist Church in uptown New Orleans and is a formal/semi-formal event where the ladies are adorned in their evening finery and the men step out in their tuxedos or dark suits and tie. This event is not for profit therefore the price is as quoted to us by the Westin Hotel so dine with us as we partake of our 3 course meal served by the best staff of the Westin. Then enjoy the evening of entertainment with music provided by Clark Knighten and 4X4...a little jazz, a little old school and a whole lot of fun to be enjoyed by our Christian seniors. So why not honor your parents and even some of the seniors of your church family as we enjoy this Celebration of Life!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Identification is not necessary. We do stress that the event is geared to the Senior community and their companions.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Transportation is on your own. The Westin Canal Place has an onsite parking facility. If you park in their garage you will take the glass elevator up to the 11th floor of the hotel lobby and then proceed up to the 12th floor ballroom for the event. Bring your parking ticket with you as we will validate your ticket and upon exiting the parking lot your fee will be $5.00 per car. The validation is good only if you park in the Canal Place parking facility.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
You can bring any senior of your choice but you cannot bring children, food nor drinks.

You may contact Lucy Louis via phone at 504-650-9860 or email...Lucyslou@msn.com. All attendees must make contact with the organizer to select their entree not later than August 4, 2014. Our entree selections are either Chicken, Fish or Pork. Nothing is fried!!!
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
You may transfer to another person but when the person arrives they must give the name of the person who originally registered. Whatever was selected for the entree will not be changed to accommodate the new person who has become the substitute.
Can I update my registration information?
You may update your registration information however, no changes will be accepted after August 4, 2014.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
For our records, yes you must bring your printed ticket to the event.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
If you have made changes to your registration prior to August 4, 2014 or have contacted the organizer prior to the August 4, 2014 deadline and she has your change of attendee on record, then yes it is okay, if not, then your attendee will be denied entrance.
