Minnesota's got a lot of large companies; more than you'd expect for our population. We've also got an abundance of small, creative-class service businesses. This event is to help teach the small companies how to earn large company business.
This event puts leaders from large Minnesota companies' business-line and sourcing organizations in a room to talk about how they decide whom to work with, what makes a vendor credible, how they evaluate risk, the mechanics of working with their sourcing systems.
1:45-2:00pm Welcome and opening remarks
2:00-3:00pm Panel discussion: business line leaders discuss how prospective vendors get on their radars, how they decide whom to work with, what makes prospective vendors credible, hurdles for small vendors to overcome, etc.
3:15-4:00pm Presentation by Margaret Anderson Kelliher on negotiations.
4:00-5:00pm Panel discussion: leaders from sourcing organizations discuss how they select vendors and the processes, policies and procedures for working with their organizations.
