Event Details

This one-day workshop focuses specifically on practices that enhance our capacity for self-compassion - which is foundational to our ability to be of true service in the world.

We all know that at the core of our ability to bring compassion to others, those closest to us as well as those suffering around the globe, we must embrace our ability to be compassionate with ourselves. And yet that seems to be one thing so many of us have the greatest difficulty with.

Join us for a session focused on honing the jewel that exists at the heart of our being.

Our 2-day basic Compassionate Listening Workshop, Healing the World from the Inside Out, is not a pre-requisite for this workshop.

----------------

Andrea Cohen works with public, private and not-for-profit organizations to integrate Compassionate Listening fundamentals into the workplace and communities in conflict. She directed the Compassionate Listening film Children of Abraham, co-directed the Jewish German Reconciliation Project, and is author of Practicing the Art of Compassionate Listening, a practical guidebook that helps people utilize compassionate listening skills in the heat of daily life challenges.

Susan Partnow is co-founder of Seattle Restorative Justice, Conversation Cafes, Let’s Talk America and Global Citizen Journey. She is a former teacher and speech pathologist, author of Everyday Speaking for All Occasions, certified mediator and an organizational development consultant/trainer for over 25 years, with an M.A. from Northwestern University.
