While bitters is enjoying its moment as a trendy artisanal cocktail ingredient, did you know it can also provide a few unexpected culinary sparks too? Join cookbook author Dana Jacobi and Hella Bitters’ Eduardo Simeon for an afternoon devoted to this age-old digestive aid, and discover how to use bitters as a deliciously subversive and versatile seasoning in the kitchen. In today’s class, we will start by sampling artisanal bitters, and then use them to make perfect dishes for the holidays and beyond.
On the Menu: Spiced Bar Nuts; Hot & Sticky Chicken Wings; Cranberry Chutney; Asparagus, Radish, and Watercress Salad with Bitters Vinaigrette; Brownies with Bittered Whipped Cream; Mocktail Soda.
