Last April, the Medical College of Georgia's Athens campus hosted the first annual Medical Partnership Chef-Off - a cooking competition designed to raise money and bring our community together. Over 20 contestants competed for top prize with a judges panel consisting of esteemed local chefs. The event was a great success with over 100 students, faculty, and locals from the greater Athens area.
This year, we hope to triple the size of the event and donate 60% of proceeds to the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support. This organization offers support free-of-charge to cancer patients and their families in the North Georgia area.
Please join us on Saturday, April 20th for a day of food and fun and help us raise money to support a great cause. Please be sure to bring a blanket or beach towel for sitting on the day of the event! Event is also BYOB so feel free to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy while you sample all of our contestants' creative dishes.
Please contact Michael Schecter (email@example.com) If you are interested in being a "chef" for this event or if you have any additional questions. Hope to see you there!
