WHAT IS THE SOUTHEAST BUILDING CONFERENCE?
Celebrating its 35th Anniversary this July, the SEBC is a three-day southeast regional building industry trade show offering your business the opportunity to make personal connections with leading industry professionals. This is where the building industry comes together to learn and to network. Our educational programs target the core issues driving businesses today. Choose from a variety of educational options, including sessions that cover six important construction-related subject tracks and specialized pre-conference intensives on multifamily, residential and commercial construction, green building, sustainability and leadership.
Meet face-to-face with over 300 manufacturers and suppliers showcasing an astounding array of innovative products. Special Sections on the show floor include Green Zone highlighting the latest in green products; from landscape to reclaimed woods; Hurricane Alley - sponsored by the Department of Business and Professional Regulations (DBPR) and Building a Safer Florida (BASF) showcases products and services for hurricane mitigation and code construction; Remodelors Corner featuring the latest in Kitchen and Bath designs and the Masonry Demo Corner featuring two days of live masonry competitions including the Fastest Trowel and Apprentice Demonstrations.
In 2012, we welcomed our co-location partners the Florida Masonry Association which hosted its annual conference at the SEBC; many educational seminars, special events and the Masonry awards programs as well as two days of Live demonstrations on the show floor. This year we look forward to additonal programs from the Florida Masonry Association as they add CEU hands on program for contractors on the show floor.
In additon, the SEBC partners with educational icon, the Energy & Environmental Building Alliance and will bring 3 days of intensive education from the HOUSES THAT WORK programs as well as the SELLING HIGH PERFORMANCE HOMES. Look for more information on how to register for these programs.
Whether you are looking for the newest advances in home design or an up-and-coming product, you’ll have three days to discover what’s the latest in building design.

SEBC Celebrates 35th Year
With New Venue, Format
ORLANDO – The Florida Home Builders Association-sponsored Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) will celebrate its 35th anniversary this year and is marking the occasion with changes that it hopes will keep the show vibrant and relevant for years to come.
For the first time in history, SEBC 2013 moves into the new SOUTH Hall of the Orange County Convention Center, giving exhibitors and delegates a fresh venue for the vast array of building industry products and services displayed at the July 11-13 show.
To make sure exhibitors get maximum attention, this year’s show schedule has set aside designated hours (Noon to 3 pm each day) for home builders, remodelers, and allied construction-related professionals to tour the displays.
There will be specialty pavilions featuring Hurricane Alley, Green Building, and Masonry. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations and Building a Safer Florida co-sponsor the hurricane-mitigation displays while the Florida Masonry Association presents exhibits as part of its co-location partnership with SEBC.
As the only major building industry trade show in the South this year, SEBC expects to draw a large audience to its world-class educational programs, which includes all 14 hours that Florida contractors need to achieve their continuing education requirement.
Top key elements of SEBC over the years – the New Southern Home and the Aurora Awards – will remain staples of the show experience.
The New Southern Home is being built by Nathan Cross of NWC Construction, Inc., and will be a living laboratory for builders and consumers with a keen interest in Green building and energy-efficiency.
The Aurora Awards, the premier building industry design competition in the Southeast, will honor its winners on Saturday evening, July 13, 2013, at the Rosen Centre’ Hotel.
