Event Details

Throughout the year, Jacobsen Salt Co.’s “Salt Fire Water” event series, presented by Williams-Sonoma with Ingredient Sponsor World Foods and Contributing Sponsor Nicky USA/Nicky Farms, will bring adventurous lovers of good food, drink, and community together to share exceptional culinary and communal experiences. Each event is centered around a communal feast in a casual yet upscale food hall setting at the Jacobsen Salt Co. and Bee Local headquarters in Portland’s Central Eastside Industrial District. The events will feature prominent Jacobsen Salt Co. and Bee Local chef customers both from Portland and other cities around the country.
    
 


On Saturday October 8, starting at 5:30pm, the Jacobsen Salt Co. and Bee Local Headquarters in Southeast Portland will be transformed into a massive food hall, in preparation for a singularly unique feast. 
Seafood Feast

Two of the Pacific Northwest's most successful and prolific restaurateurs - Chef John Gorham from Portland and Chef Tom Douglas from Seattle - will team up, with a few of their Chefs de Cuisine, to create an epic seafood feast inspired by Pacific Northwest ingredients and culinary traditions from around the world. There will be mussels, oysters, shrimp, all manner of fish, and vegetables. The chefs will utilize Jacobsen Salt Co. and Bee Local products while showcasing their respective cooking styles.

So come feast with us! There are 100 seats available. The will also be music, and Oregon craft beer, wine, and spirits.
 
$65 per person, only 100 seats available. $65 ticket price includes all food, 2ea full drink tokens, entertainment, service charge, and gratuity. Additional beverages can be purchased at the venue - both cash and credit cards will be accepted. This event is for guests 21 and over.
 
Due to nature of these events: tickets are not refundable within two weeks of event. Tickets, however, are fully transferable. If the event is sold out, you can get on a waiting list by emailing events@jacobsensalt.com

Jacobsen Salt Co.

Jacobsen Salt Co. was founded in August of 2011 by proprietor Ben Jacobsen and has since become the finishing salt of choice for chefs known and unknown across the country. Our pure flake and pure kosher sea salts are hand-harvested from cold Oregon waters using traditional methods. The New York Times says, "the crystalline flakes coaxed from water gather[ed] from Netarts Bay on the Oregon coast have the elegance of a fine fleur de sel, the delicate crunch of Maldon and the blindingly white flakes of a Caribbean beach at noon." In 2014 Jacobsen Salt Co. opened the doors to it's Portland Headquarters and Event Space in the Central Eastside Industrial District.
