Friends of Chamber Music of Miami, Inc. (FOCM) is dedicated to the presentation of chamber music as performed by the world's greatest chamber ensembles. South Florida’s longest-running chamber music series, FOCM has a two-fold mission: to showcase the most outstanding artists and to build appreciative audiences among people of all ages. FOCM also offers outstanding educational opportunities for South Florida’s advanced music students.
Since 1955, FOCM has presented such world renowned ensembles as the Budapest, Juilliard, Guarneri, Emerson, Cleveland and Ehnes Quartets; the internationally acclaimed Beaux Arts and Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trios; and outstanding recitalists such as Nikolai Lugansky, James Ehnes, Radu Lupu, Roberto Diaz, Cyprien Katsaris, Stephen Hough and Valentina Lisitsa. The series’ concerts are performed at the University of Miami’s Gusman Concert Hall, the Coral Gables Congregational Church and other acoustically superb venues in the area.
