This free presentation will help instructors, administrators, and other staff of K-12 and post-secondary institutions respond to major crises affecting their communities, such as suicide,homicide, mass casualty events, and natural disasters.
The presentation will be facilitated by Sam D. Bernard, M.A., Ph.D., President/CEO of the PAR Foundation, Inc., a non-profit agency based in Chattanooga that provides free mental health counseling following large-scale disasters and crisis events.
This event is sponsored and organized by Delta Medical Center, Lakeside Behavioral Health System, Parkwood Behavioral Health System, and the Memphis/Shelby County Region of the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network.
Three credit hours are available for interested participants.

Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network
The Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN) is the statewide public-private organization responsible for implementing the Tennessee Strategy for Suicide Prevention as defined by the 2001 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention.
Our grass-roots association which works across the state to eliminate the stigma of suicide and educate communities about the warning signs of suicide, with the ultimate intention of reducing suicide rates in the state of Tennessee.
