Autism: What to Look For and How to Cope in the Classroom
- Children's Health Council, Palo Alto CA
Parents may hear that their child has Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) from one professional and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) from another. What does it mean if your child is diagnosed with these conditions? How are they similar and why is it not unusual to see both conditions in one child? This class will cover the overlap of symptoms and conditions, explore the ways in which one set of symptoms can complicate the other and demonstrate how to effectively address the combination of ADHD and SPD in your child.
We believe in a world where every child can reach his or her promise and potential. Our mission is to remove barriers to learning, helping children and teens become resilient, happy and successful at home, at school and in life.
