Event Details

Come out and join SCA in Boston for a service project prior to the Outdoor Nation Signature Summit. We'll be partnering with Boston Harbor Islands to restore the Fort Andrews area of Peddocks Island.

Water transportation, training, tools, materials, water, healthy snacks, and lunch will be provided. Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes; bring a waterbottle, sunscreen and a hat. A volunteer t-shirt will be provided on arrival the day of the event.

Important: We will meet at 11:30 AM at Rowes Wharf (behind the Boston Harbor Hotel) to catch a private ferry to Peddocks Island. The ferry is operated by Mass Bay Lines--please look for us holding an SCA sign! We will work on the island from 1pm to 3pm, and end the day with a short hike around the island. We will return to Rowes Wharf at approximately 5 pm.

Register today! Friends and family are welcome.

Date: Friday, July 20, 2012

Time: Meet at Rowes Wharf promptly at 11:30 to catch the ferry. Latecomers will not be able to ride the ferry with the rest of the group. Projects on Peddocks Island will run from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM; followed by a short hike around the island and a ferry ride back to Boston. We will return to Rowes Wharf at 5 pm.

Where: Meet at Rowes Wharf. Projects will take place on Peddocks Island.
