The New York edition of #SBWeek! This event is part of a full week of sports business networking events all across the world organized by Russell Scibetti (@rscibetti - TheBusinessOfSports.com) and Joshua Duboff (@joshuaduboff - TheSportsBusinessExchange.com). Tickets for all cities are $5 each with 100% of the proceeds going to UNICEF (and if possible, specifically their Sport for Development program).
Come out and network with other sports business professionals that work or live in the New York area. All backgrounds are welcome, from those just starting out to industry veterans. The format of the evening is very casual - three hours of open networking over drinks with your industry peers.
Please pass this along to any friends and colleagues that would also be interested in attending. The more word spreads, the more value every event has to those that attend. Remember, there is one "rule" for these events - no resumes. This event is all about networking and making valuable connections, so bring plenty of business cards and good conversation, but please, no resumes.
When & Where
The Business Of Sports
TheBusinessOfSports.com is an industry blog dedicated to discussing new ideas and current events in sports business. The posts cover a wide range of topics, including ticket sales, marketing, social media, corporate sponsorships, fan loyalty, brand management, sports media, finance and more. The goal is to provide a valuable resource that other sports business professionals can learn from and contribute to.
To help bring together sports business professionals, we launched a series of networking events in major cities across the US and abroad called #SBWeek. We will use this EventBrite page for these events each year, with all ticket money raised being donated to charity. We will also use this for our one-off #SBNight events that take place throughout the year in several cities.
