In our air conditioned testing facility, we will serve drinks and food from sponsors FAIR Vodka, FreshDirect and Nathel & Nathel. Then a few words from our team and special guests regarding our progress + where we're going.

StartUp Box #SouthBronx
Startup Box South Bronx (SBSQ) is a 501c3 technology entrepreneurship project in, and for the South Bronx community, designed to educate young adults and inculcate the larger community in the future of technology to increase their chances of participation in it.
With this new project, Majora Carter and Nate Altschul have teamed up to bring accessible job opportunites in tech, to where jobs are needed in American communities.
Nate Altschul was Director of Games Development at Nickelodeon, where he was responsible for the development of 100+ games annually across a variety of platforms. He has developed casual games, multiplayer games, and virtual worlds for over 15 years. His award-winning work (Emmy, Webby, Cannes) for past clients including Nike, MLB, Leapfrog, Neopets, PBS, Wrigley, and Discovery Channel + 2 patents pending for game-related inventions, are among the many assets he brings to StartUp Box. He also founded the HTML5 Games Group and the Cross-Platform Games Group.
Majora Carter is co-founder & CEO of StartUp Box. She was one of BusinessInsider.com’s ‘Silicon Alley 100’, a keynote speaker DigitalUndivided.com #Focus100, and one of Goldman-Sachs ‘100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs’ in 2012. Her TED talk was one of the 1st six talks to launch that groundbreaking website in 2006. While running Sustainable South Bronx (SSBx.org), Majora Carter brought MIT’s first Mobile Fab-Lab (digital fabrication laboratory) to the South Bronx where it drew residents + guests together for inventive collaborations. She is a MacArthur 'genius' Fellow, Pebody Award winning radio broadcaster, recipient of numerous Honorary PhD's, and awards from groups as diverse as NewsCorp & the Center for American Progress.
