FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit for the tour?

Yes. Only adults 21 years and older are permitted on this tour. You must bring valid photo identification with you and may be denied the tour if you cannot provide it.

What are my transport/parking options?

You may park in designated parking areas on Atkins Field on Granite Street, Hardwick. This is where you will be picked up and dropped off at the end of the tour. Please avoid parking in the neighborhood if at all possible.

What should I bring on the tour?

We recommend you bring water, a bagged lunch and be sure to dress for the weather, which can be unpredictable in northern Vermont! If you plan to purchase cheeses, brews, wines, spirits or goodies, we encourage you to bring bags for carrying your purchases in.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please contact our Program Director, Elena Gustavson at 802-472-5362 or email her at elena@hardwickagriculture.org.

If I purchase a bottle of wine or beer, will I be allowed to drink on the bus?

No. Any alcohol consumption MUST happen only at our hosts' sites, and only in the areas that they designate for us. The purpose of this tour is to expose our guests to the art of fermentation, so to speak, so please refrain from consuming alcohol except where it is legal to do so.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Possibly. Please contact our Program Director if you would like to transfer your ticket to someone else.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the tour?

You will not be denied entry to the tour without your ticket, but having it with you will help us track who is on the tour and who is not. If you do not bring your ticket, you will be asked to verify your identity with valid photo identification.

What is the refund policy?

The last day to request a refund is 12:00am EST, May 27, 2013. No refunds will be issued after that.

What else is there to do in Hardwick and the surrounding towns?

The summer months in Hardwick is home to First Fridays in Hardwick, an evening event that begins at 5pm and includes many of the businesses on Main Street for events, music, food and activities. If you plan to dine in Hardwick, we recommend you make reservations at Claire's Restaurant or Positive Pie

Our rural communities are rich with natural beauty. Farms, rivers, lakes and mountains are in abundance. We encourage you to visit the NEK Tourism website for ideas of places to stay and things to do.
