Hitting the shores of the East Coast on November 15 - all the way from San Francisco comes the much anticipated Save The Waves Film Festival to Shangri La Studio in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
Doors open at 6 PM with a cash bar fundraiser sponsored by Pacifico beer, Tito's Handmade Vodka, and Clase Azul Tequila. Brooklyn's underground musical phenoms SLOTHRUST will then kick off the celebrations with a live music set.
Slothrust live music is followed by a carefully curated selection of short films featuring surfing legends, eco adventures and brand-new documentaries. This Brooklyn, NY event is the second stop in a 3-city cross-country tour. Including the world premiere of SE7EN SIGNS the surf travel epic by Nathan Myers and Taylor Steele, and the world premiere of several short films from Justin Krumb, Surfers for Cetaceans, Surf for Life, Save The Waves, Surfrider Foundation and much more. Director Nathan Myers of Se7en Signs is flying in directly from Indonesia to present his new Innersection film!
6 PM - doors open, cash bar fundraiser.
6:30 PM - live music by Slothrust.
7:30 PM - short films program.
8:30 PM - intermission, fundraiser raffle and more!
9 PM - world premiere of Se7en Signs -- brand new film cut introduced by director Nathan Myers!
Save The Waves Film Festival, now in its 5th consecutive year, is a nonprofit fundraiser for Save The Waves Coalition and World Surfing Reserves.
