Save the Southern California Beach Bonfire Rings
Friday, July 12, 2013 from 7:15 AM to 2:00 PM (PDT)
South Coast AQMD (Air Quality Management District) Governing Board Members will vote this Friday whether to regulate our beach bonfire rings.
In order to show support for the fire ring tradition that has sparked countless memories over the last six decades, we want YOU to be present at this vote. Your attendance will be a significant factor in saving the beach bonfires.
FREE transportation will be provided for 85 loyal bonfire lovers from the Huntington Beach City Hall to SCAQMD Headquarters (21865 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, CA 91765) and back to City Hall shortly after the end of the meeting. Free parking for those joining us will also be available in any of the City Hall parking lots.
Please sign up to reserve a spot on the bus, which will be leaving at approximately 7:30am on Friday morning. Each name equals one seat and any persons who are not checked in and on the bus by 7:15am will forfeit their seat to walk-up riders who may be waiting to board.
Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP on the return bus trip.
Walk-ups will be accepted based on availability on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note lunch may not be available for walk-ups.
