The vision of these monthly seminars is to provide a forum for our community: believers and un-believers, intercessors and worshippers, young and old to minister to the Lord's heart through an in depth study of His word. You're invited to join us on Saturday, May 4th for one of the following seminar topics:
Core Value: Sonship
Sons change the world, babes don’t. This course aims to model how to pray in a manner that produces God sized results. Jesus, the Apostles and their disciples understood the difference between Orphan thinking and Sonship. They lived by what the Father said and understood what it meant to “kathidzo” and after this seminar, so will you.
Altar Ministry Training
Altar Ministry is an application of the “One Second Principle” – God can do more in a person’s life in one second than we could in a whole lifetime of analyzing and “helping”. Our life is to be as an altar before the Lord. It is a visible display of public prayer for the benefit of the whole body. Altar Ministry is not counseling. It’s not focused or dependent on the pastor or ministry leader, personal ministry is carried out by the people. The job of a prayer usher is to escort those in need to God in prayer, and then let the Holy Spirit do the work. Prayer ushers are connectors, conduits of God’s grace, power and love.
Intro to Intercessory Worship
Through this course we seek to encourage a passion for Christ through prayer by uniting congregations throughout the Spring/Woodlands area in prayer activities and encouraging individual Christians in a lifestyle of prayer. New Haven employs the Intercessory Worship (IW) model, which can be sustained for long periods of time because it is “enjoyable”; prayer and worship combined. Saturday @ the HOP: Introduction to Intercessory Worship includes: The prophetic history of New Haven, why we do what we do, an introduction to the how’s and why’s of this prayer model, and a preview of the heart issues of a consecrated prayer life.
Emergency Preparedness Workshop
We feel a strong leading of the Lord to be Josephs for our community, being prepared for an emergency so that we can be a resource to the lost and hurting in times of crisis and uncertainty. Each month in this course, Justin and Kynada Boland, creators of Preparedness Peace, cover a large spectrum of topics that all pertain to preparing your heart and your home so that you can be an instrument in the hand of the Lord to bless others around you. It is always exciting and practical with teaching, Q&A and then hands-on practice. It is a safe place to learn, ask questions and do what you learn.
Children at saturday@theHOP:
The children's equipping track, saturday@theHOP KIDS is designed especially for children first through fifth grades. This class will be held the first Saturday of each month from 9:00am to Noon. saturday@theHOP KIDS hopes to impart to children that studying the Word of God and prayer can be enjoyable.
