FREE 2-Day Program to obtain state certification from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Stormwater, Erosion, & Sedimentation Control Inspector Training Program. Space is limited to 100 attendees. Priority will be given to those who work in the construction, inspection, or environmental fields. A passing score of 70% is required for qualification as a Florida Inspector.

Course manuals will be provided. For your own study preferences, please bring post-its, pens and highlighters. Sign-in starts at 8:00 a.m. Class will start at 8:30 a.m. and end by 4:30 p.m. on day one. At the end of class on day two a proctored exam will be given.  The class and examination will conclude at approximately 2:00 PM.

Lunch will be on your own both days.

  • FL Licensed General Contractors will earn 8 hours CEUs
  • FL Licensed Professional Engineers will earn 8 hours PDHs
  • FL Association of Code Enforcement (FACE) officers will earn 12 CEUs

             A “Train the Trainers” (T3) workshop will be offered after the exam on day two from 2:00pm – 4:00 pm, immediately following the final exam session.   Limited T3 workshop to 25 people.  Go to: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sarasota-t3-train-the-trainer-workshop-registration-25543928578

               Prerequisites for T3 Workshop: Attendees may pre-register prior to class for the T3 workshop and must obtain a grade of 80% or greater on the exam. A short job resume will be needed to become an instructor. The T3 workshop will provide you with a great opportunity to teach others inside and outside your company or others in the community and industry.

This class is provided by Department of Environmental Protection teaching the Florida Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspector's Qualification Certificate Course.  This course allows candidates to inspect construction sites in order to be in compliance with their General Construction Permit under the requirements of the State of Florida's NPDES Rules and Regulations.
