It's almost here!

We're looking forward to having a great group together for tomorrow's Made by MIX Mobile App Jam - and Challenge. The support from Santa Fe MIX and other community partners has really been tremendous, gathering some major cash prizes and other benefits as well.

Before we get into the Challenge specifics, rules and guidelines, a few quick reminders and updates.

1.  Systems. We won't be providing computer systems or software for the Jam weekend. We'll have plenty of power strips, etc. but you'll have to bring your own rig.

2.  Open all night. We plan to have the Complex open all night this Saturday (if people want to stay and work or grab a few zzz's). A pillow and blanket might help as the floors are relatively solid. This isn't a suggestion to stay all night - but the option's available.

3.  Sustenance. We plan to have some basic snacks, beverages and coffee for most of the time and are working on a sponsor for Saturday night (anyone interested?). However, you should plan to bring, step out or send for lunches.

Want to know the Challenge Categories, Rules and Guidelines?  You can download them here and/or read on below.

Hello Again!

A few last day updates:

9-10:00 AM      Burritos and coffee

10:30 AM          We'll decide about lunch

1:00 PM            Talking w/ groups about their pitches/demos

4:00 PM             Deadline for signing up to pitch

5-6:00 PM         Pitch to judges' panel

6:00 PM             Stage I winners announced

Regarding the pitch/demo:

You'll have 3-4 minutes to pitch your app to our panel of judges w/ 1-2 minutes of follow-up questions. It's important to include:

1.  Which challenge are you pursuing for your App (you must pick one!)

2.  Who's your team and what are their capabilities

3.  What does your App DO

We'd also suggest typical info like, which platform(s) is this being developed for, the next steps you're planning, needs you may have.

You may use posters, powerpoint/slideshows, and deployed apps in any combination

Hope this helps!

And... a reminder. Full app submission (and larger prizes) come in the next stage with submission in June!
