Los Olivos The small, charming village of Los Olivos is one of the closet Wine Country towns to Downtown Santa Barbara as well as the most prolific in terms of tasting rooms and restaurants. This historic town with a population of about 1,000 is located in the Santa Ynez Valley and is a hub of shopping and wine tasting. You can explore dozens of wine tasting rooms, restaurants, and boutiques.
Solvang Named by Sunset magazine as one of the "10 Most Beautiful Small Towns in the Western United States," Solvang's heritage dates back to 1911 when adventurous Danish-Americans traveled from Iowa to establish a settlement in California. There is plenty to do with over 150 independent shops, art galleries, and culinary delights including a dozen wine tasting rooms all within walking distance. Hop aboard the Solvang Trolley for a street car tour pulled by a pair of horses, rent a surrey bicycle, or take a Segway tour.
