San Jose Police Traffic Unit
In conjunction with
San Jose Police Amateur Athletic Foundation (PAAF) and Hollister Powersports will be holding its inaugural Police Motorcycle Training and Skills Practice on September 20th and 21st 2013.
This event will benefit PAAF and the San Jose Police Chaplaincy. Proceeds from this event will be divided amongst these two fine organizations.
The importance of ongoing motor training is paramount. This event will provide two days of training that will allow officers to practice their basic riding skills and test their skills in an organized training event.
This training event will have an individual course challenge, slow ride challenge, and team events.
This event is open to current Law enforcement Officers currently certified on a Police Motorcycle.
The following is a list of vendors and will be present and or have donated raffle prizes to the event; Hollister Powersports, Hayes Mansion, San Jose Marriot, Metro Mobile, Cycle Gear, San Jose Yamaha.
Zero Motorcycles will be at the event with demonstrations of their electric motorcycle, civilian and police models.
Food at the event will be provided by The Food Rodeo, Philz Coffee, Panera Bread, and the 911 Angels.
$40 per rider includes two days of training, t-shirt, lunch, dinner and awards banquet on Saturday night. Please makes checks payable to PAAF. Fees will be collected at the event. There will also be two raffles (public and law enforcement only) with many great prizes donated from Hollister Powersports and many other local businesses.
Friday - Skills practice 0800-1700 hrs
Saturday – Skills test and team events 0800-1700 hrs
This is a locked facility and Officers will be on site 24 hours providing security. Trailer and RV parking are available on site.
