Enjoy the first look at the 2014 San Francisco Fine Print Fair at the Golden Gate Club and support the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, the works on paper department of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Wine and light refreshments will be served and valet parking will be available.
The annual San Francisco Fine Print Fair presents a comprehensive survey of printmaking by renowned artists. All works are for sale, with many in affordable price ranges, from traditional Japanese woodcuts and old master engravings to 19th century etchings and impressionist lithographs to 20th century modernist and contemporary editions. The Fair is organized by the International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA), a non-profit organization of expert art dealers, and the eighteen exhibitors represent a cross-section of its membership from across North America and Europe.
The San Francisco Fine Print Fair will be on view for one weekend only, January 24-26, 2014. The Fair is open with Free Admission on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, printmakers from San Francisco's Gruenwald Press will be on hand to discuss printmaking techniques; on Sunday (at 10 am) the Walt Disney Family Museum will make a special presentation on its current exhibition "Water to Paper, Paint to Sky: The Art of Tyrus Wong." More details about the Fair, including a list of participating dealers, can be found at www.sanfrancisco-fineprintfair.com
