Live Entrepreneurial Investment Event to Launch in Salem
Salem, OR — March 1, 2013 CCT Events is proud to announce the launch of “Salem Sharks”, a 90-minute live investment event taking place on Saturday, June 1 beginning at 7pm at the Grand Theatre in downtown Salem, Oregon. The “Salem Sharks” event will give budding entrepreneurs the chance to make their dreams come true, and possibly make a business deal that will start them on their way towards success in business.
Up to 10 entrepreneurial finalists will be given the chance to give their elevator pitch to a panel of handpicked investors willing to invest a minimum of $30,000 in entrepreneurial business plans and individuals they believe in. Official event partners include the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, SEDCOR, Salem Area Young Professionals, and Chemeketa Center for Business and Industry.
Each featured entrepreneur will start with a 30 second pitch followed by a chance for handpicked investors on stage to tear into the idea to determine its investment value. Entrepreneurs will also be vying for the people’s choice award which will be given at the conclusion of the event through a mobile vote of event attendees. The winner will receive $25,000 worth in complimentary business start up services to assist them in turning their pitch into a viable business start up.
An after party will be thrown in honor of all entrepreneurial finalists. The party will allow unselected applicants and show-goers to engage Shark Tank investors as well as other business and community leaders.
Entrepreneurial applications will be taken via the website salemsharkslive.com from March 1 through May 19at midnight. A selection committee of business advisors and community leaders will determine the Top 10 finalists. Investor bios will be announced April 1.
